Intent This was one of my first projects as a newly hired service designer at Statens pensjonskasse.

In 2020, the new public service pension scheme was introduced by the Norwegian government for people born in 1963 and later. It was not only for “Ola Nordmann” that everything regarding pensions changed, but also for the developers, call center agents, designers, product owners, and others at SPK.

In order to break down the complexity of the new laws, another designer and I started reading and mapping out the main points of the new laws with the intention of creating a one-pager containing the most essential information. If we were to design services based on these new laws, it was crucial that we understood them ourselves.

This became a very interesting collaboration between legal experts, architects, and service and graphic designers.

Design In collaboration with a graphic designer, we created a one-pager called “Regelverksoversikten.”. It was shared both digitally and as a printed version that was hung on the wall. We found that we succeeded in making complex and difficult information more approachable for in-house developers, designers, and others.

As this was one of my first projects at Statens pensjonskasse, it was a great gateway into understanding the laws around pensions, getting to know the organization, as well as becoming acquainted with SPK’s colors, style, and so on.
